Finally they team up again to take on the greats in a big money street ball tournament.

Training Day: Jake Hoyt wants to be a narcotics officer in the LAPD. To get the job he first must do one day of training on the streets with a veteran agent. Jake is assigned to spend the day with agent Alonso Harris. Jake is in for the ride of his life.

Murders in the Rue Morgue: Sensationalistic reworking of Poe tale. The competitors at Grand Guignol-type theaters suddenly become sufferers of genuine-life slayings, and gory goings-on. Set in Paris, although filmed in Spain. Cast includes Jason Robards, Herbert Lom, Christine Kaufinann, Lilli Palmer, and Adolfo Celi. (87 minutes, 1971)

Solar Crisis: Futuristic sci-fi thriller with Matheson leading a spare-the planet mission to the sun to stop a solar flash from annihilating the world. Fine visual effects and suspenseful tale in space harmed by world pranks of poor boy Boyle who preposterously desires to undermine the mission. Cast includes Tim Matheson, Charlton Heston, Peter Boyle, and Annabel Schofield. (112 minutes, 1990)

Mrs. Brown: Gratifying drama set in the 1860s. Monarch Victoria Bench has been in grieving for years, following the mortality of her cherished spouse Albert; living in Windsor Castle, away from London and communal life, she only comes out of her shell while her spouse's believed Highland rider, John Brown Connolly, declines to pamper her. An irregular relation creates between the 2-much to the consternation of everyone else on the Empress's staff. Prosperously detailed, with 2 splendid behaviors at the forefront; Sher is additionally impressive as the bewildered Benjamin Disraeli. Cast includes Judi Bench, Billy Connolly, Geoffrey Palmer, Antony Sher, Gerald Butler, Richard Pasco, and David Westhead. (103 minutes, 1997)

For Richer or Poorer: Very wealthy New Yorkers Allen and Alley, whose matrimony is on the stones, are made to take it on the lam while they're implicated of tax fraud and hide out on an Amish farm, where they make believe to be blood brothers of farmer Sanders.
