Barfly: Surprisingly entertaining photograph of L.A. lowlife, and boozy, recklessly macho author Henry Chinaski, played with bravado by Rourke. Dunaway is magnificent as his alcoholic soulmate. Based on the auoobiographical writings of cult top choice Charles Bukowski, who might be noticed on one of the bar stools. Cast includes Mickey Rourke, Faye Dunaway, Alice Krige, Jack Nance, J.c. Red: Very last film in Kieslowski's "3 Colors" trilogy which, like Blue and White, might stand alone with its self contained tale. Buffalo Bill: Vibrant biography of legendary Westerner should have been much more superior, however still grants some fun and has excellent cast. Cast includes Joel McCrea, Maureen O'Hara, Linda Damell, Thomas Mitchell, Anthony Quinn, Edgar Buchanan, Chief Thundercloud, and Sidney Blackmer. (90 minutes, 1944)

Hail Mary: Uninteresting, overblown updating of the tale of Christ's birth, with Mary a student basketball competitor! Even though still a virgin, she finds herself pregnant. This film kindled much dissention and was even condenmed by the Pope. Cast includes Myriem Roussel, Thierry Rode, Philippe Lacoste, Manon Anderson, and Juliette Binoche. (107minutes, 1985)

The Kingdom: The terrorism story is reinvented as an action film. It is a blood-pumping tale of an elite FBI team that voyages surreptitiously to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to examine a massive explosion at a U.S. living area. Cast includes Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, Chris Cooper, Jason Bateman, Ashraf Barhom, Ali Suliman, Jeremy Piven, Danny Huston, Richard Jenkins, Frances Fisher, Anna Deavere Smith, and Tim McGraw. Lust for Life: This is a bright adaptation of Irving Rock's biography of painter Van Gogh, vividly depicting his anguished life. Quinn captured a well-warranted 'Oscar for his performance as painter-Guy Gauguin, in this attractive color production. Cast includes Kirk Douglas, Anthony Quinn, James Donald, Pamela Brown, Everett Sloane, Niall MacGinnis, Noel Purcell, Henry Daniell, Jill Bennett, Lionel Jeffries, and Eric Pohlmann. 8 1/2: (1963-Italian) 135 Fellini's exclusive film casts Mastroianni as a filmmaker trying to create a new venture, among regular visions and numerous subplots. 8 ' is a long, perplexing, however captivating film that is full of artistic and technical wizardry.
