Home business opportunities are plentiful on the Internet these days and these opportunities continue to grow as more companies and people get on the Internet. Is the centre of advertising and marketing in the world and is not so adversely affected by recession and various other problems.

You also don't have to worry about the risk of redundancy and even more attractively, you can work from your own home or even while travelling. All you need is an Internet connection, a general knowledge of how to use a computer and anything else is basically a nice bonus to have such as a knowledge of web design or Internet marketing.

This is why freelance writing is one of those areas where you can find so many opportunities in. You won't earn a lot of money to start with, but you can usually start earning straight away.

As you build up your portfolio of work, you will start carrying a better knowledge of search engine optimisation. Search engine optimisation is the key to freelance writing on the Internet. Everyone who wants to make money on the Internet and drive traffic to their websites needs to have a knowledge of search engine optimisation.

While you might not have a knowledge of search engine optimisation to begin with, it is pretty simple to get to grips with, depending on the area that you are taking part in.
