Want To Know How To Get Results With Email Promotion?

By David Trumble

Are you frustrated with your online marketing efforts?

Your website is not alone. My websites have been posted and received very few visitors in the past. Unless you are an web guru, we are probably on the same page.

Have you tried to sell through email promotion?

I have. Again and again I sent out my emails, but when you only have a handful of people on your list, you do not get much in the way of results. I admit, I have failed miserable at email marketing.

How do you separate the myth from reality? Not easy is it. So, I got to thinking maybe I was missing something when it came to my email marketing. Maybe there is something more.

Recently, I discovered a tiny bit of information that has made a big difference in my selling through emails.

At the very moment I was being told how important email promotion is; I was told don't do it until you have your own massive opt-in list. Hmmm. How do you get results from selling through emails if you cannot sent out emails without spamming?

None of us want to receive spam or emails that we just do not want. I have a whole bunch of emails that automatically go to my junk mail file every day.

The situation then is this: we just cannot send out enough emails to make email marketing work like it is suppose to. Right?

Did you know it is perfectly legal to let someone else send out your email ad to their email list? It is not spam. Instead, it is content for the list owner.

Consider this. An web marketing service company has developed a double opt-in email list. They take my ad, and send it to their list. Suddenly, my ad is seen by millions.

Since, I really want my own email list; I set up my bulk email campaign to develop my list. My ad promotes my special offer. Usually it is a free ebook. I link it to my opt-in page. Within minutes of the bulk email deliver, I start getting sign ups at my opt-in page. Everyone who joins my opt-in becomes my customer and part of my own email list.

Now there is hope. My enlarged email list gives me the opportunity to really expand my email marketing efforts. Now I can expect a return on my investment.

How can you make each email count? Try this: keep it short, avoid words like free, promise only what you can truly deliver, and give the readers what they want.

I try to always offer good content, positive encouragement, and opportunities. Every email I send has some kind of call to action. It may be an invitation to read an article on my website, or an offer to purchase something. But I believe my readers read with purpose and I want to satisfy their wants and needs.
